This antique Egyptian faience-glazed ring depicts the God Horus as a statuesque falcon is a stunning representation of skill & creativity. Horus, the falcon-headed deity, is the son of Osiris and Isis, and the divine child of the holy family triad. Horus stands perched atop the ring's thick band with his customary pointed headpiece.

Hand-formed and fired, this rare antique Egyptian artifact is undeniably impressive.

This piece was made by local Egyptians for affluent visitors who traveled to Egypt on educational "Grand Tours" of various archaeologically significant sites between 1780-1920s; a time also known as the "Egyptian Revival Period."
