Antique Handcrafted Balinese/Javanese Articulating Puppet Head

This is an amazing antique Balinese/Javanese Barong Articulating Puppet Head. The head has handles that articulate the jaw for use in celebrations, demonstrations, and ceremonies. This early 20th century piece or handcrafted artwork is in great physical condition with normal signs of aging, wear, and use.

The Barong is the "King of the spirits" and protects families from the evil Queen Rangda of the mythical Leyak child-eating witches.
