Antique African "Turkana" Milk/Honey Container

This is a fine antique (c. early 20th Century) hand-carved African honey pot with leather detailing made by the Turkana peoples of Kenya. This piece can act as a nice stand alone display or a fine addition to any African artifact collection!

These types of containers are hand-carved by the Turkana people from Kenya and used to store honey or milk. Each container is unique and made with locally sourced wood & goat leather, adding to the functionality of this item often as lids, straps to carry around and adornments making these stunning pieces.
