Ancient Imperial Roman Terracotta Oil Lamp (c. 1st-3rd Century CE)

This is an extremely well made authentic ancient "Imperial Roman" terracotta oil lamp with ring base and incised designs encircling the central fill hole. The piece has a nice patina and appropriate wear showing age with carbon/ash residue around the nozzle from original use.

This lamp is smaller than the average ancient oil lamp, and may have been used for personal and/or ceremonial activities.
