This mask is an aged chalkware replica of a much older Roman terracotta representation (3rd century A.D.) of an original Ancient Greek theatrical mask (c. 250 B.C.).

This vintage chalkware replica was purchased in the 1980s from the Greek Ministry of Culture in Athens, Greece, and is in excellent condition.
