19th century Bronze Burmese Seated Buddha

This antique bronze Buddha statue is a truly unique and special collectible piece. The statue depicts a seated Buddha in the Bhumisparsha mudra, or "calling the earth to witness" position, with the right hand touching the ground. This pose was developed in Burma during the 17th century, and has maintained its favor in their artwork.
