1970s Turkana Ikoku Ngide Kenyan Fertility Doll

Traveling man Treasures Curiosity Vault is selling this Turkana Ikoku Ngide fertility doll from Kenya, East Africa. These dolls are traditionally made by the Turkana people of Northwestern Kenya, this particular piece made for the tourist trade in the 1970s.

The term "Ngide" means child, and these dolls are believed to help women conceive and bear children if they treat the doll as a real baby.
