This simply made faience glazed Bastet statue (most likely created by a common artist or person) is in excellent museum-quality condition, and rivals any of its Cairo Museum counterparts.

This Bastet sculpture was purchased via auction in the U.K. from a well-respected auction house and they have authenticated the piece. I was able to purchase this, and many other artifacts, at a bulk discount rate and am passing along savings to my clients! From the 2nd Dynasty, Bastet was worshiped as a deity, most commonly in Lower Egypt. It was believed Bastet was the sun God Ra's daily protector as his heavenly boat pulled the sun across the sky.
